When you use the InkCheckHero Web Preflight tool, all TAC pixel inspections, CMYK separations, and heatmaps are computed 100% locally within your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and memory buffers.
None of your images, confidential client artwork, packaging designs, or documents are ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. If you disconnect your internet connection after loading the page, the preflight inspection continues to function completely offline.

2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect
In accordance with data minimization (GDPR Art. 5(1)(c)), we collect only what is strictly necessary to fulfill our service:
Your email address, collected when purchasing a Pro license or requesting an activation OTP. Used for license delivery and customer support.
An anonymous cryptographic hash of your workstation, operating system type (macOS / Windows), and plugin version, required to enforce the 3-device limit.
Handled directly by our Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments (or Lava.top). We never collect, see, or store your credit card numbers or bank credentials.
Standard HTTP server logs recorded temporarily for security and DDoS mitigation (purged within 30 days).

- Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Required to generate, activate, validate, and renew your desktop plugin license.
- Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Protecting against license piracy and ensuring server reliability.
- Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Retaining basic transactional records for VAT compliance under EU Directive 2006/112/EC.
